Mold

The insulation that lines the inside of the Fan Coil Unit can, over time, become a breeding ground for different types of mold “colonies” as the ideal conditions are present.

Each level of mold contamination requires the appropriate containment and course of action. This will include various levels of mold remediation from simple treatment, insulation removal, complete replacement, or retrofit.

The bottom line is that the issue of mold in residential Fan Coil Units is a regular occurrence and should be mitigated with proper maintenance and service.
