ABOUT JPS CANADA
JPS Canada was born out of a passion for helping people–and fixing things. A self-proclaimed “service guy”, president Jean Paul Moniz launched the business back in 2004 after a career of working with HVAC fan coils, new construction settings, partnering with fan coil manufactures, and everything in between.
JP was drawn to HVAC contracting because it allowed him to connect with the people-side of the business. In this role, it was not just about the units themselves–it was about helping people solve really pressing problems.
Today, the human experience remains at the heart of JPS Canada. We truly believe that the HVAC business is–above anything else–a people business. This comes through in our unrelenting commitment to customer satisfaction–but also in the way we upskill, train and care for our employees, and foster close friendships with many of our vendor partners.
To us, HVAC is not just a job. It is our opportunity to make a small impact in the world.
The JPS Canada Secret
How to build a friendly, highly-skilled, reliable team
Make time for connection
Every year, the entire JPS Canada team embarks on a weekend retreat where we intersperse work with play. During this team-building getaway, we try new activities (like fishing!), upgrade our skills, and candidly share work-related feedback.
Provide ongoing
support
We offer ongoing professional training—and make sure every new employee receives one-on-one, onsite training before heading to a call alone. This support ensures consistency in our level of service—and strengthens our company culture.
Hire great
people
Our team has a lot of personality—and that’s no accident! JP truly believes that if you want to get the most out of your team, you need to surround them with like-minded people they actually want to work with.
