ISOLATION VALVE

Isolation valves are a pair of valves that isolate your fan coil unit from the buildings supply and return water loop. Water circulates (loops) through your fan coil from a supply pipe (supply riser) to a return pipe (return riser). These valves operation are critical as they shut the water to the fan coil so repairs can be performed or worse case to stop flooding due to leak/failure of your fan coil. These valves corrode overtime and their seals degrade causing leaks or the valve to no longer function (seal off water flow).

Standard ball valve used in most applications. Older units may have gate valves.
